Established boat repair facility on the Lake Union seeking entry level Marine Technician to join our family oriented team.
This is a excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to learn Marine Mechanics from some of the best Mechanics in the area. The boating market is HOT HOT HOT....do you want to be a part of a growing industry?
Qualifications:
- Interested in learning basic Marine Mechanics with the potential for lifetime growth
- Have the desire to learn how to service engines properly in the marine environment
- Want to learn basic to intermediate knowledge of diesel engines
- Learn basic electrical and plumbing troubleshooting and installation
- Physically able to climb ladders, consistently lift 10-20 lbs., occasionally lift 50 lbs., kneel, stand, squat and work in small spaces
- Must have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Work at least 32 hours per week, some overtime may be required at times
Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced Mechanics with duties all along gaining knowledge for your future
- Organize shop
- Replace batteries
- Replace anodes
- Clean boats
- Pressure wash boats
- Bottom paint
- Assist, learn and grow
Additional information:
Hours of operation are M-F 8am - 5pm, with the occasional need for over time
