Description

Aussie is a 2 year old female spayed German Shepherd mix. She is housebroken, crate-trained, obedience trained. She is up-to-date on shots (received in March 2021) and has vet records and a microchip. In the house, Aussie is well-behaved, quiet and unafraid of typical household noises, and spends most of her day resting in her kennel. She loves to play and brings toys to her foster family, and is a big fan of fetch, puzzles, and stuffed toys. Aussie is currently in training to reduce leash reactivity and manage fear of strangers and other dogs. She should not live with kids or other pets or be let off leash until her new owner is confident in her ability to manage her fear reactions. She has no history of biting, but will jump on strangers and bark at them if she is scared. Her trainer believes she will continue to become more friendly and welcoming of strangers if she is given the right guidance by a confident owner. No first-time dog-owners, and preference to owner with protective breed experience. Aussie needs a home with a confident and experienced owner who will continue to build her confidence, reduce her leash reactivity and stranger fear, and manage her protective instincts. Asking for a small rehoming fee to support the training that we have provided her in her foster home. Thank you.
