NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck residents will head to the polls on Nov. 2 to cast votes for the municipal election. The position of mayor, town clerk, and spots on the boards of education, burgess and zoning are all up for grabs. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 2. Voters who are in line before 8 p.m. will be able to vote even after the deadline passes. You can find your poll location at the Secretary of the State website by inputting your information. You can request an absentee ballot here or you can visit your town clerk's office. All voters are eligible to check the top box that lists "COVID-19" as a reason for requesting an absentee ballot. In Naugatuck, Democratic Mayor Pete Hess is running unopposed for a fourth term. For the position of Town Clerk, Michelle Dowling also is running unopposed; she was endorsed by both Democrats and Republicans. Also essentially running unopposed are the three candidates for the Planning Commission — Democrats Raymond Krzykowski and Gary Hughes, and Republican Richard O'Donnell — because voters are being asked to cast ballots for up to three. For Bailiffs, the Democratic candidates are: Michael Kuczenski; Sally Cyr; Michael Allison; and Floyd Traver. They are opposed by the Republicans, Steven Loban; Daniel J. Renzoni; Seth Bronko; and Kristie Pistarelli. Vote for up to four. On the Zoning Commission, Democrats Tom Kiernan and Wayne M. Malicki are running against Republicans Attila "AJ" Bordas and Eileen Bronko. Vote for up to three. For the position of Tax Collector, Democrat Jim Goggin, the incumbent, is seeking re-election versus Republican Helen Northrup. Vote for one. As for Treasurer, Democrat Carl Herb is facing off against Republican Judy Anderson. Vote for one. On the Board of Education, the candidates are (incumbents are in bold; vote for up to five): Democrats - Ethel S. Grant; Jason "Jay" Celozzi; Cara Martini Munro; James M. Scully; Karen Vassell-Campbell Republicans - Diana V. Malone; Alicia Makowski; Aaron McCool; Jeffrey Like; Marilyn O'Donnell For Burgess, the candidates are (vote for up to six): Democrats - Charles P. Marenghi; Rocky Vitale; Fran Dambowsky; James A. Higgins; Francis Santana; and Shagufta Zahid Republicans - Robert Neth; Jan J. Mizeski; Dorothy Neth-Kunin; Meghan Smith; George A.
