TEMPLE BETH HILLEL IN SOUTH WINDSOR TO HOST NOVEMBER 22 INTERFAITH THANKSGIVING SERVICE
All Greater Hartford residents are invited to a special in-person and on-line community, led by local clergy members of different faiths. On Monday, November 22 at 7 p.m., Temple Beth Hillel at 20 Baker Lane in South Windsor will host its annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. The free event will be held at the Temple and also can be viewed live on the Temple's website (www.TBHSW.org) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/TBHSW). It will feature inspirational readings and comments, music, and songs."Our Interfaith Thanksgiving Service has become a wonderful community-wide tradition, featuring spiritual leaders from a variety of houses of worship in South Windsor and beyond who present different portions of the program, " explains Rabbi Jeffrey Glickman of Temple Beth Hillel. "It is an opportunity to showcase how America's treasure is the way we celebrate diversity."
"When I pray in an interfaith community, I am strengthened and lifted up by the truth that I am not alone," says the Temple's Cantor Scott Harris. "It is a presence that reminds us that we are here for each other, and with each other."People do not need to belong to a house of worship to attend and no reservations are needed.
