Press release from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System: Oct. 26 2021 TV station WAFB Channel 9 named the junior running back its Player of the Week back in September after his Liberty High School Patriots defeated White Castle. The station reported that "Jackson ran the ball exceptionally well. He rushed for 260 yards on just nine carries and got in the end zone six times, leading Liberty to a 49-7 win." "It feels great," Jackson said. "It lets me know that I'm doing something right." "It takes him over the top," Trosclair said of Jackson's success. "We talk before the game, and I'll say, 'We gotta do our thing today,' " Jackson said. "All my coaches and teammates tell me just to play your game.
