PROVIDENCE, RI — A Food Network legend visited Rhode Island Tuesday. Alton Brown, fan-favorite host of Good Eats, Cutthroat Kitchen and more stopped by the Ocean State as part of his national tour. Brown was in Rhode Island for a one-night-only engagement of his touring show, "Beyond The Eats," at the Providence Performing Arts Center. Ahead of the evening show, Brown took to Twitter to find the best place to sample a cup of coffee milk, the quintessential Rhode Island drink. Following the internet advice, he and his wife, Elizabeth, made the rainy trek to Dave's Coffee. Being a southerner, Brown struggled slightly with the proper pronunciation — cawfee milk, for those unsure — but declared the drink delicious, if cavity-inducingly sweet. #CoffeeMilk #Providence #BeyondTheEats pic.twitter.com/7OtYpI2Ae9— Alton Brown (@altonbrown) October 26, 2021 #coffeemilk @DavesCoffeeCo #providence #BeyondTheEats pic.twitter.com/7qi2yhy2ON— Alton Brown (@altonbrown) October 26, 2021
