Successful local entrepreneur (Owner) is looking for a "Regional Manager" to oversee all aspects of three dog daycare and boarding facility operations in Colorado. This position will hold full P&L responsibility for the three Colorado locations (region) and essentially be the Owner's right hand. Traveling from locations is necessary and will require flexibility and reliable transportation. Job Duties / Essential Functions: * Supports the mission, vision, culture and policies of Owner's businesses. * Continually monitors regions' revenue and expenses while managing to a budget * Analyzes and utilizes financial reports and statistics from locations, and reviews monthly profit & loss statements with General Managers in the region. * Recruits, hires, trains, develops and/or dismisses center management staff. * Upholds and ensures centers’ compliance of all operations policies and procedures. * Assists General Managers in staffing and training needs and the recruitment process. * Works with Owner and Human Resources to ensure center compliance with federal and local labor laws: OSHA, EEOC, ADA, Fair Labor Practices. * Collaborates with the Owner and Staff on a regular basis (Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Facilities, Legal, etc.). * Ensures that all centers provide top quality care for our guests, including the delivery of exceptional customer service and salesmanship. * Conducts a weekly call with all General Managers in the region to discuss performance. * Develops plans to improve centers in the region and coaches General Managers in the development and implementation of new programs and projects to grow center revenue. * Actively monitors associates performing job duties. * Inspects building and properties and recommends/reports repairs and improvements. * Assist Owner with renovation projects at centers, if needed. * Conducts monthly store visits or more often, if needed. * Monitors and assists with emergency/crisis situations. (On-call) * Resolve any and all customer and staff complaints not resolved at a center level. * Interacts with and treats customers, guests, visitors and team members in a professional, courteous manner. * Assists other team members (Accounting, etc.) as needed. Skills and Experience: * Dog daycare, and/or boarding experience preferred. * BS/BA required. * 3+ years management experience in a multi-unit environment. * Must be a passionate team player and a strong motivator. * Must have strong background in driving performance excellence through strong people management. * Five plus years in full P&L management responsibility preferably in hospitality, service and / or retail environments. * Experience in problem-solving, exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with co-workers, clients, and the general public. * Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications. * Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills. * Ability to complete assignments and responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner, often with strict and/or conflicting deadlines. * Excellent oral presentation, writing, and analytical skills. * Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills. * Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays. * Must frequently lift 40 pounds. * Must be able to be on feet eight hours per day. * Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently. * Must be able to work on computer system and work multi-line telephone. * Must be able to handle dogs on leashes. * Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions. Travel: 50%-75% local travel Job Type: Full-time Target pay: 80K/annual
