SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — San Diego County public health officials reported 420 new cases of COVID-19 and 13 virus-related deaths in its latest data.
Monday's data brought the county's cumulative case total to 368,267 since the pandemic began. The death toll is now 4,196, according to the county.
The number of COVID-positive patients in San Diego County hospitals on Monday was 272, up from 260 on Sunday, according to state figures. There were 88 patients in intensive care, up from 85 on Sunday.
A total of 26,888 tests were reported to the county on Friday, and the percentage of new positive cases over the past week was 2.4%, according to the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency.
The county does not report new lab tests on weekends.
