Franciscan ACO saves Medicare, Medicaid $26.6 million

Newly released results for the 2020 Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) shows Franciscan Accountable Care Organization (ACO) setting the pace for success among its local competitors. In 2020, Franciscan ACO achieved a 100 percent quality score and saved the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services $26.6 million, earning Franciscan ACO $13.3 million in shared savings. As a MSSP participant, Franciscan ACO is responsible for the total cost and quality of care for more than 51,000 patients. Franciscan partners with physician groups, hospitals, and other advance practice providers to provide highly coordinated, quality care to patients.
