LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Libertyville police arrested a 28-year-old man after finding six pounds of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop earlier this month. Irving E. Galvez-Ruiz, of Colima, Mexico, faces unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful delivery of cannibis charges following his Oct. 15 arrest in Libertyville, according to a Libertyville Police Department report. Police say they initially pulled his vehicle over after spotting the car turning west from southbound Dawes Street onto Crane Boulevard at about 10 a.m. but not using a traffic signal. Officers searched the car and found about six pounds of pot, according to the police report. Galvez-Ruiz was arrested and taken to the Lake County Jail. His bail has been set at $250,000.
