Press release from the City of Twinsburg: July 9, 2021 Construction Update – East Idlewood Drive Construction Update – East Idlewood Drive The City of Twinsburg has contracted with Schirmer Construction LLC to complete repairs on the E. Idlewood Drive Bridge over the stream near the Ravenna Road Plaza. The work will consist of rehabilitation of the box culvert, waterproofing, patching headwalls, and sidewalk replacements. Project schedule: July 12-16th. Mobilization of the site will take place. Demolition of the sidewalk and tree lawn excavation will occur to expose the culvert. Traffic will be maintained but the sidewalk will be closed. July 19-Aug1st. Weather permitting, the road will be closed. Culvert sections will be removed and replaced by forming and installing a new concrete top. Waterproofing will be installed and backfill operations will start to allow for road opening.  Posted detour route will utilize E. Idlewood - Glenwood Drive - Ravenna Road.  Aug 2- Aug 27th.  Traffic will be maintained as completion of the project takes place. New fencing at headwalls and sidewalks will be installed and final lawn restoration will take place.   This press release was produced by the City of Twinsburg.
