Description

GENEVA, IL — With November right around the corner, residents can start preparing to see crews trimming trees in the area. Arborists from ComEd will be clearing tree branches around electric lines along several streets on Geneva's west side starting next week. Streets that will be impacted include South Street, Kaneville Road and Keslinger Road, spanning from Western Avenue to Peck Road. Trees will also be trimmed along Western Avenue and Dunstan Road, from Allen Drive and South Street. "The company states its vegetation management program helps ensure electrical reliability since tree branch contact with power lines is a leading cause of outages," city officials said in a news release. Homeowners will receive a postcard or notification of some sort from the electrical company alerting them when work will be done in the area around their property in November. A map of the streets that will be trimmed in Geneva can be found on the city's website. Residents with questions about the work can contact the ComEd Vegetation Management representative at 800-334-7661 or visit ComEd's website.
