DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — October is drawing to a close, and that means Election Day is nearly upon us. Residents of Independent School District 191, which encompasses Burnsville, Eagan and Savage, will be voting in a special school board election to fill the position formerly held by Jen Holwege, who resigned Oct. 2020. The position is temporarily being held by Suad Said. Residents can choose between Said and Abriana Savage. Polls will be open 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Nov. 2. Like this article? Burnsville Pkwy, or the County Administration Center on Highway 55 in Hastings 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. with extended hours until 5 p.m. on Nov. 1. You can drop off your mail-in ballot until 3 p.m. on Nov. 2. You can drop off your mail-in ballot in the week leading up to the election at Dakota County's Administration Center in Hastings or the Western Service Center at 14955 Galaxie Avenue in Apple Valley.
