Press release from the City of Champaign: October 25, 2021 The Champaign Fire Department and Champaign Exchange Club are honored to announce the 2020 Firefighter of the Year recipient, Firefighter Sean Manual. Sean coordinated a fundraising effort that raised over $20,000 for the family of a Champaign firefighter stricken by cancer. Unfortunately, with the Covid pandemic, the Exchange Club was not able to have their annual ceremony, however, they did present Sean his plaque at Fire Station 1.
