The Parts Specialist picks up and delivers parts to TDS sites, spending approximately 75% of the time driving. This position also performs clerical and organizational functions in the parts department, including monitoring stock locations, issuing parts and tools to maintenance personnel, ordering supplies from vendors and recording data to ensure the department is able to maintain the fleet in safe operating condition. The Parts Specialist assists in satisfying the material needs of other internal and external customers as needs arise.
High school diploma or equivalent and two to five years’ experience in retail, wholesale or warehouse automotive or up to class 8 trucks and equipment inventory departments;
Must be able to be forklift-certified by the company;
Must work well independently;
Should have strong inventory and data entry skills and the ability to function in a fast-paced work environment;
Must demonstrate familiarity with laws and regulations concerning the safe operation of maintenance facilities;
Must be able to work amid constant interruptions, prioritize and deal with time pressures;
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in English; and
Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite – e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
