Description

The Maintenance Engineer position responds to guest requests and insures the safety of associates and guests. Carry a portable radio, staying in constant communication with the central base station and responding to all engineering service calls. Maintains hotel equipment in an efficient, safe, accident-free manner. Perform all essential functions of Maintenance Technician 1 and 2 plus possess special skills in a particular trade: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC. Material/Equipment Used Basis hand (hammer, screwdriver, pliers) and power (electric drill, saw, solder) tools. Painting equipment, key cutting machine, groundskeeper equipment and snow removal equipment. Exposure to hazardous materials on a daily basis. Chemicals/Agents used: Come into contact with various chemicals 2-3 times per week. (Regular chemicals: solvents, adhesives, paints). Protective clothing worn 100% of day; protective gloves worn approximately. Lifts and scaffolds. Environment Indoor exposure to stable and extreme variance of hot and cold temperatures. Outside exposure to all weather elements and extreme fluctuations of temperature. Prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and heavy lifting.
