Our open workshop in Vancouver is spacious and filled with natural light, and offers a casual, collaborative environment that houses a vibrant and fun workforce. Two types of positions are available: Primary Shipping Associate: hours may vary between 20-40 hours per week; must be available to work up to 40 hrs/week (M-F from 8am-4pm) from Oct. 22 - Dec. 15 (except for Thanksgiving) Flex Shipping Associate: hours may vary between 5-20 hours per week; help is especially needed from Oct. 22 - Dec. 15. (This position is perfect for college students returning home for break.) Please note that employment is seasonal, and will end in January. Responsibilities may include: -Fill customer orders by packaging sold items for shipping to direct customers and wholesale accounts. -Examine sold products for quality, and ensure absolute accuracy in all shipments against packing slips. -Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter. -Fulfill customer orders by picking merchandise from bins or shelves, and reconciling against order information to ensure absolute accuracy. -Prepare various size boxes for shipping. -Be able to stand for long hours. -Be able to lift 20-30 pounds. An ideal candidate will have the ability to work as a team, a positive attitude, attention to detail, and flexibility. Previous work-related skills in shipping would be a plus.
