ABOUT THE POSITION: Key Responsibilities Dump runs and deliveries Job site clean up, as needed Help carpenters, painters and other skilled labor when necessary Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards Load or unload construction materials Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding Follow instructions from supervisors Assist craft workers Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary Perform site clean-up General labor as needed - Other duties as assigned by the site foreman Personal Attributes and Skills Needed to be Successful: Organized – likes to work within a system and plans the success of the jobs Urgency – decisiveness, quick response and fast action Goal-oriented – good at focusing efforts on meeting a goal/mission Follow Up and Follow Through – doesn’t like to leave “loose ends”, ensures all things that get started get finished Must be familiar with these areas of safety: shoring, slope cut, equipment, temporary steel sheet placements on road, etc. Requirements: Physically able to dig, help with excavation Lift up to 100 lbs. safely and with repetition Able to pass drug and background checks Reliable transportation Valid license & experience driving large vehicles Verifiable references Must have a working cellphone Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime, possible infrequent weekends Start time is generally 7:00 AM Consistent and reliable year-round work Compensation:: $16 - $18 We offer good health insurance and pay 75% of the employee’s premium 9 paid holidays after 90 days *PTO accruing at the rate of one (1) hour of PTO for every forty hours worked.
