We are currently searching for a qualified Warehouse Night Supervisor for our Santa Fe Springs Distribution Center. This position will require excellent work habits, dependability, and the ability to work with others. Experience is necessary. The primary responsibilities are: • Inspects each department regularly to ensure that proper procedures, safety policies and programs are being used correctly. Will regularly conduct scheduled sanitation inspections. • Responsible for the safe and economic receiving and shipping of all products during evening shifts, which will change seasonally • There will be up to 20 direct reports to this position involved in the selection, palletizing, loading and the receiving of the majority of the produce and deli items shipped from the distribution center • Accountable for economic and efficient use of respective labor and equipment resources • Communicate with employees, buyers, warehouse and transportation managers on a daily basis to ensure that job objectives are achieved to include the appropriate: Quality control, receiving practices, proper rotation of the Produce/Meat/Deli, and alertness to potential safety hazards • Ensures that all paperwork has been completed correctly daily/weekly and monthly • Responsible for the maintenance and sanitation of the Distribution Center during the evening shift • Assures that proper selection of product is done in a productive manner and orders are shipped timely with a minimum amount of miss-picks and errors. This is to be verified by use of the audit program. The minimum qualifications for this position are: • Warehouse management and/or retail store experience is a strong plus for quality candidates • Ability to seek out, analyze and evaluate the facts and provide a solution. Ability to react as the situation demands in assessing hours needed and adjusting the work force • Basic computer skills using Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook. Able to expand this skill set and contribute to the daily functions of the Warehouse Management System
