Simple, casual recording session in a private home with a Singer/Songwriter and possibly one guitarist. 5 non-complicated, all Heart And Soul feel covers of NOLA (and 1 Texas) Soul masters plus one Original Retro Soul song. All songs are quick studies. One weeknight or Sunday recording/video session, 3 hour tops most likely. Recordings will be used for promo and recruitment of a new local contender Retro Soul NOLA themed band of top shelf players with Heart And Soul, not a bunch of Hired Guns who play over the heads of the audience and lose a crowd. We already have an enthusiastic standing offer from a great home base bar for regular Saturday nights that has fantastic acoustics, fantastic and cheap food, and a fantastic staff. So there is also opportunity to be a part of this beyond the p a i d recording session session. (The main purpose of the session is to have some great recordings to use for recruiting our missing link, our resident Keys Wiz.) Band will be keys and horns focused, no guitar. We have highly skilled and spirited interest in all other slots. But for right now, we need one night out of a keyboard player who can roll those ivories like the Masters...
