Fire Alarm Inspector’s Helper
Inspector’s helper is a full-time (40 hours minimum) entry-level position during which the helper will assist the Lead Certified Inspector conduct fire alarm inspection. The helper will receive on-the-job training daily on all aspects of fire alarm systems, components and proper inspection techniques.
It is Federal and State law that every active fire alarm system be inspected on an annual basis. This ensures that the system is functioning properly and will activate properly in the case of fire to protect lives and property. Inspectors have an important responsibility in upholding the integrity of these systems. EDS inspectors travel all throughout Southern Nevada, conducting inspections at various locations on a daily basis.
Candidate must:
• Obtain OSHA 10 Construction Department of Labor card at his/her own expense and on his/her own time. Per Nevada law, this must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Have a valid NV Driver’s License
• Have good customer service skills
• Have clean appearance
• Be able to pass a background check
• Be able to pass a drug test
• Have reliable transportation
Starting pay: $10-$12/hr + company-paid benefits
