We are growing, and we’re looking for folks who want to help us help seniors downsize with ease. At Moving Forward our mission is to provide a calm, safe, and happy atmosphere for seniors throughout their moves. This takes a lot of hard work! Whether it’s the physical work of moving a desk that hasn’t been moved in 50 years or the emotional work of helping a senior and her family transition to a new home and a new life, it can be a challenge. Job Description: Help with all moving/hauling related tasks for our clients. The end goal is to create a calm atmosphere for the client through quietly and efficiently executing assigned tasks in a manner that furthers the Moving Forward reputation as the industry leader for moving Seniors. Responsibilities: Fleet Management Complete daily truck maintenance checklist Follow all safety protocols Daily upkeep and cleaning Client Relationship Assists on all hauling/moving jobs and often takes direction from the SMM lead on jobsite. Assist the Senior Move Managers (SMM) as needed Excellent customer service skills – we are helping many of our clients through a very difficult transition, and each interaction a client may have with each staff member from Moving Forward can ease or add to the stress of the move. We expect all staff to strive to reduce our clients’ stress during their moves. Responsible for inspecting customers' goods before the move, recording any damages prior to the move, and handling customer paperwork Packs moving materials in truck and ensures all equipment is safe and ready for moves Communicate with SMM when the moving / hauling is done, and before leaving jobsite. Training/Development · Complete training modules and tests as directed · Attend staff meetings · Assist in the continuing growth and development of the company. Requirements: · Must be responsible in all actions, and accountable for them · Must be a proven and effective multi-tasker · Compassion for working with the elderly is a must · Able to work in a fast-paced environment · Clean driving record for past 3 years · Experience driving large straight trucks desired · Capable of lifting up to 75+ pounds; heavier items with colleagues · Attention to detail is required Self-starter, able to work independently Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
