I have a 1998 6.5 Diesel Suburban and I am behind on getting some updates done to it. Here is the work currently needed:
1) Block heater removed and a plug reinstalled.
2) Exhaust manifold doughnut gasket replaced. The manifold end is rusted out pretty bad but for now I want keep it going awhile longer. I need someone who is comfortable with the tedious task of grinding the nuts off of the studs and doing their best to preserve what is there so we can salvage the manifold for a few more thousand miles.
3) Fuel line replaced from tank to lift pump. I may update the lift pump as well and replace the line all the way to the filter at the engine. This job may require dropping the tank.
4) Oil cooler lines replaced. I want to install custom silicone lines or "Evil Energy" type AN fittings - lines. If you have experience with routing and fittings of this type, this is a bonus.
5) Future projects will include dual oil filter relocation.
The work can be done onsite (South High Point) or at your shop. I have a couple ramps and the vehicle already has significant clearance but a lift would be really good for this job. I have the tools needed or bring your own. I am also open to renting a bay with a lift; possibly long term. Please respond with your related experience, rates, suggestions, details, etc.
