JANITORIAL OPERATIONS MANAGER NEEDED IMMEDIATELY (Dunedin FL) Local Janitorial Company is Currently seeking a highly motivated candidate to fill a Janitorial Operations Manager position. The responsibility of a janitorial manager is to ensure that the facility is cleaned correctly and according to the client's instructions or standards. To accomplish that goal, the supervisor inspects the facility to determine any unusual or cyclical work that needs to be done, such as periodically stripping floor wax, cleaning overhead light fixtures, or shampooing carpets. Mangers maintain a checklist of routine or daily cleaning chores as well. They assign workers to specific chores or areas and then inspect the work to ensure it has been done satisfactorily. If the client has complaints about missed or improperly cleaned areas, the supervisor investigates the complaint and takes steps to ensure that the problem will not recur. The janitorial manager typically handles many personnel duties. They often interview applicants, train new cleaning techs and prepare performance reviews. If disciplinary action is needed, it is normally the manager's responsibility to issue reprimands, counsel cleaners about their performance, determine whether additional training is required or, if necessary, terminate the cleaning tech. They may prepare work schedules, as well as track cleaning techs' attendance and report hours, worked to the payroll department. Janitorial Manager may inspect cleaning equipment and perform routine maintenance. Whenever necessary, managers may also assist workers to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Skills and Knowledge • Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory skills including A strong sense of urgency, excellent customer service skills, good attention to detail, creative problems solving skills, excellent delegation and follow up skills, ability to get the team to execute the priorities your layout, and to be a good role model and to consistently exhibit the highest level of professionalism and integrity. • ABILITY TO WORK A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE INCLUDING WEEKEND SHIFTS. • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
