If any person hands me a firearm, the FIRST thing that I do is "secure" it. I check that the safety is on. Then Check to see if it is loaded or not. I never under any circumstance point a gun (loaded or not) at anything that I do not intend to kill. These procedures are very basic gun safety. It is tragic that Baldwin was handed a loaded weapon, but it is no less tragic that Baldwin did nit do his own diligence in securing the firearm. Baldwin is equally responsible for this tragedy. Any person handling a firearm has a responsibility.
