Come and get creative and learn the art of kokedama! A variant of bonsai, kokedama is the Japanese art of creating potless plants using a unique soil mixture, moss and string.
The workshop covers the history and origins of kokedama, plant and soil mixtures, wrapping options, moss types and aftercare. You get to create your own Japanese kokedama moss ball, combining the grounding practice of getting your hands dirty with natural materials, and the artistic gratification of creating a beautiful object.
Price includes all materials upon arrival. Participants will receive full tuition and step-by-step instructions so you don’t need any experience. All levels of ability are welcome. Not only will you walk away with your very own handmade kokedama, you will also have the skills and information to care for it at home.
This workshop will be two hours long.
