Description

Take some time to slow down and connect with Nature with a guided forest therapy walk. Join a peaceful Forest Therapy walk with a Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide! This is your time to slow down, let your agenda go, and allow yourself some peaceful time to relax and connect with Nature. Forest Therapy is based on the principles of Shinrin-Yoku (Japanese Forest Bathing) and refers to the practice of spending time in nature for the purposes of health, wellness, and happiness. It is a practice of connection with the natural world and with each other. A series of guided invitations bring us into the present moment, opening the doors of communication with the forest, waters, and landscapes we explore. We encounter not just the forest, but through the many ways nature mirrors us, we also encounter ourselves. This is not a hike but more of a slow wander with unique opportunities for connection, gathering and sharing. We we will cover less than a mile over the course of about 2 hours. We will close our experience together with a special sharing of forest tea. Please come dressed to stay warm and dry. Layers and water-resistant clothing is recommended. In the event of rain, you may want to bring a raincoat or poncho. MEETING LOCATION: Once you drive into the park, you will see a parking lot on either side just before the red park buildings on the right. I will meet you here. I'll have a bright turquoise raincoat and turquoise clipboard , and maybe even a turquoise hat (yes, turquoise is my favorite color!). COVID PRECAUTIONS: Masks are optional as we will be outside. Everyone is encouraged to practice social distancing. Hand sanitizer will be provided.
