Come receive the tools needed to express emotions proactively and mindfully and practice positive communication. City Youth Matrix is partnering with E-Fit and Trauma Specialists of Maryland, LLC and we’d like to invite our City Youth Matrix member families and Waitlisted families with children ages 4-9 years (preK-4th grade) to participate in the 4-week E-Fit program. The E-Fit program focuses on Emotional Skills Training where the child and parent work together to build skills to help deal with stress, communicate effectively, and share emotions in a healthy way. E-Fit is not therapy, it's giving the child and parent the tools needed to express emotions proactively and mindfully and practice positive communication. The 4-week program is held on Mondays, October 25- November 8 from 6-8pm and the final session will be Wednesday, November 17th at the Centennial United Methodist Church at 8 West Second St. in downtown Frederick. Dinner is offered at each class and all course materials are included. Space is limited, there is room for only 8 child-parent pairs. City Youth Matrix member families and CYM wait-listed families are being offered the course first, and if additional spots are available, the public will be eligible to apply.
