Please Join BPRB Community a Baltimore-Based Non-Profit Organization for a Exploratory Ride to Lake Roland This group ride is designed for the beginner/intermediate rider who is interested in seeing different parts of Baltimore and its surrounding areas by bike. Beginner’s level and up are welcome. *Please note, important, this is a not a “Newbie” ride. A rider must be able to ride a minimum of 20 miles @ 11mph. We will start from St. Mary’s Park and ride to Lake Roland and explore some of the park’s nature trails. There will be moderate climbing with an elevation of about 900 ft during this ride with two rest breaks. This is a “No Drop” ride. Riders can expect to have a ride leader and a sweep for riders who fall off the back. Ride Instructions: Shaka Pitts will be your Ride Leader and will be meeting everyone at 11:30 AMWheels Down at 12:00 PM.Helmet, flat tire repair kit, and a front and rear light are strongly recommended.A bicycle computer or cycling app on your cellphone is nice to have.Everyone must carry a photo ID and have an emergency contact number with them during the ride. Arrive early to allow time for pre-ride instructions and a bike check. We leave to ride promptly at 12pm (Noon).
