Free Event - Come slog through the wetlands of Loxahatchee Slough with ERM staff at Palm Beach County's largest natural area. Free Event- Ever wonder what’s off the trail at Loxahatchee Slough Natural Area?  Come slog through the wetlands with ERM staff at Palm Beach County's largest natural area and see what wonders are hiding off the beaten path.  This will be a 1.5 mile hike with knee deep water in some locations, so you may want to bring a towel and some dry clothes/shoes for after the hike.   We will provide hiking sticks.  Please bring water and a water bottle so that you can fill it up before the hike.  Don't forget a face mask. Please meet at 10:00 am at the Loxahatchee Slough Main Parking Lot, off the east side of the Beeline Hwy north of PGA Blvd.  Here is a Google map of the location:  https://goo.gl/maps/acVr43s8wRSRgesC8. There are no restroom facilities at this site. Restroom facilities are available at the nearby Karen T. Marcus Sandhill Crane Access Park, 8175 PGA Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens, 33418  https://goo.gl/maps/FqJRdzQpw9n. We recommend wearing long pants and closed-toed shoes.  You will probably want to bring a change of clothes. Please bring water and a water bottle along with bug spray, sunscreen, and a face mask.
