A small manufacturing business in Waltham is looking for a Shipper/Crater for our Shipping Department. In this role, you’ll be performing your work independently, but assisting numerous departments throughout the company. The primary job function consists of crating CNC machinery weighing anywhere from 100 lbs. to 600 lbs. on skids 6ft. x 4ft. x2 ft. and preparing UPS packages daily. We are also an importer of a large CNC machinery that will weigh anywhere from 4,500lbs to 7,000lbs and dimensions being 5ft.x 5ft. x 10ft high. We typically side-load these machines on a designated flatbed trailer from ground level. The Shipper/Crater will properly prepare these machines for shipment and load them on and off flatbed trailers. Our company conducts business throughout USA, Mexico, and Canada. We are located in Waltham, MA on the border of Newton and Watertown. Conveniently located near I-95 and I-90. -REQUIREMENTS-  Forklift driving experience (preferably has a hydraulics license)  Crating & building large pallets for CNC machines up to about 7,000 lbs.  Able to lift heavy packages up to 40lbs.  Packaging boxes for UPS daily  Ordering own supplies for shipping as needed (wood to make pallets, strapping, cardboard boxes, etc.)  Attention to detail and care of machines  Working as a team player/ wear many hats -BENEFITS-  Healthcare Insurance  Dental Insurance  Life Insurance  Short Term Disability  FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts)  401(k) with Company Match  12 Paid Holidays  Sick Time  Earned Vacation Time (10 days a year)  Tuition Reimbursement Program This posting is for hire with pay range between $20 to $24 per hour, depending on experience.
