What's up NYC musicians! I'm Aaron Mx, lead singer and guitarist of 3-piece Ska Punk band Top Shelf Shake! For the last 6 years (not including the pandemic of course) TSS has been performing every bar, lounge and music venue on the West side of the US. We bought a van entirely with funds from paid gigs and toured through California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Louisiana, Texas, Nevada, and Arizona. Obviously touring won't be in the cards for awhile, since I left the band van in Cali when I moved out here to NYC, but that's the eventual goal. Our setlist consisted of original songs from our two 8 song EPs (2016's Higher Education and 2018's Strange Radio) and about 45 covers ranging from Top 40 classic rock to modern 00s hits. We usually played 2-4 hr gigs for between $300-$1k. I'd like to continue doing the covers but if I find the right group of people who want to focus on Originals Only, that can be definitely be something to discuss. Looking to fill the Bass player and Drummer positions. I'm living in Williamsburg area of Brooklyn and will be down to split a rehearsal space 3 ways when we find the right group of musicians.
