Description
Join SFCB as we celebrate the artists and work of the exhibition "Finding Common Ground"! Celebrating twenty five vibrant years, San Francisco Center for the Book has served as a space for individuals and groups to come together, explore ideas, and encourage each other within the field of artists’ books. The exhibition Finding Common Ground focuses on the collaborations and communities of practice SFCB has witnessed or fostered over the past twenty five years. The idea of “finding common ground” is a unique occurrence taking place when people gather, share information, and experiment -- core tenants of SFCB’s mission. Print collectives, artist think tanks, individuals working collaboratively: all are prime examples of idea exchange and creative spark. Work in the exhibition focuses on collectives, working groups, collaborations, and projects, each with a connection of some sort to SFCB. By highlighting collaborative processes and sharing creation stories related to the works, gallery visitors gain a deeper understanding of how each artist works and the role that SFCB has played in their work. Details about the exhibition can be found here. _______________________________________________________________________________________ EVENING OF EVENT PROTOCOL: Attendance for this event will be limited, in order to maintain distancing for gallery visitors.Registration for this event is mandatory; drop in guests will not be allowed.
