Join the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy in sprucing up the areas surrounding our Visitors Center! Minimum age to volunteer is 10 years old. Chaperones are required for individuals aged 10-15. Come help us spruce up the area surrounding the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy's Visitors Center. We will be weeding, tidying up our outdoor spaces, and performing other tasks as necessary. We will be providing all necessary tools to complete tasks on site (except for garden gloves). We will be adhering to State and County Public Health Recommendations and Guidelines for COVID-19 throughout the duration of the Volunteer Workday. In addition, please note that: Volunteers must abide by the rules mentioned in the pre-event instructionsYou must bring your own work gloves suitable for working in a garden, we are unable to provide any. Leather gloves are highly recommended!Please bring a full water bottle (the water fountain will be unavailable for use at this time)Volunteers are asked to arrive by 8:45 am for a contactless sign-in, workday instructions will follow. Please arrive on time as the workday instructions will begin promptly at 9:00 am. The event will run from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, or when it gets to be too hot (seasonal). School groups or corporate teams must contact the Volunteer Coordinator to schedule events. Ticket limit for this event is 3 per group. Air quality projected to be "unhealthy for sensitive groups" or rain cancels the event. The Guadalupe River Park Conservancy is a non-profit partner of the City of San Jose. The GRPC provides community leadership for the development and active use of the Guadalupe River Park & Gardens through education, advocacy and stewardship.
