Join us for a fun "plant based" evening at the Peter Rubi grocery store! Behind the scenes tour, cooking demo, dinner & talk with an MD! Event Menu: Appetizers: • Smoky hummus with baked pita chips & fresh veggies • Baked nacho chips & cheesy sauce – with toppings Main course: • Two types of lasagna – Ricotta & spinach, sweet potato & veg • Caesar salad• Baked potatoes served with chili, cheesy sauce & steamed broccoli Desserts: • Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies • Fall fruit salad Drinks: • Autumn Infused water• Flavored sparkling water *********************************************************************************************** You’re invited! On behalf of the Community Harvest Educational Foundation (“CHEF”), a Chicago-based 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, I would like to extend a warm invitation to our first Live Cooking Event at the Peter Rubi grocery store in Chicago next Thursday, October 28th at 7pm. CHEF’s mission is “Promoting better health through better eating.” Partnering with local, community based organizations, CHEF will facilitate whole food, plant-based education and hands-on cooking events. CHEF will be working hard to share its mission across Chicago, with an important focus on our City’s youth & young adults. The event will be held at Peter Rubi, Chicago’s newest plant-based supermarket, located at 804 W. Montrose Ave. A beautiful store where you can always find an abundance of fresh produce, wholesome pantry goods and prepared meals to inspire a healthier lifestyle, healthier you. Free on-site, indoor parking is available. Our event will start with a behind the scenes tour of the store, followed by a hands-on cooking demo in kitchen, culminating with a short presentation & 3 course meal!
