What you’ll do: First shift, full time help wanted in a food distribution center Assistant manager needed to supervise a general labor crew as they complete their daily functions Working with our customer to ensure safe work practices throughout the shift The willingness to learn all positions and fill in during staff shortages Light labor including sweeping floors, emptying trash cans, and removing debris from work area Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat Must be able to stand for long periods of time during shift Occasional work in cold areas in the establishment Maintaining clean shipping supply area complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Ability to complete all tasks for a clean work environment such as stand, bend, and twist Our ideal candidate: Availability from 7am-7pm is mandatory Weekend Availability 7am start time (typical shift lasts between 8-12hrs) Skills and Abilities Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices. Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Ability to manage priorities and workflow Ability to understand all safety requirements and cautions Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
