Join a group of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color at the North Park Nature Center for an evening nature walk throughout the area. We'll hope to see some of the nocturnal animal residents that call the area home: coyotes, owls, bats, and more. Date: Friday, October 29th Time: 5PM Meeting Location: Parking lot of the North Park Village Nature Center; 5801 N Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL 60646 Parking: Free parking - If arriving by car, please park at the Peterson Park Gymnastics Center, Peterson Park Field House or on Central Park Avenue. ( Note: No parking at designated NPV Apartments lots. see map below). Transit: Go green by taking the CTA to the Nature Center: Pulaski (#53 bus) to Ardmore, or Peterson (# 84 bus) to Pulaski. Walk description: We will start at the Nature Center Parking Lot, make our way over to the waterfall, then walk back to the Nature Center for a hike around. It will be getting dark by the time we are wrapping up the walk. The walking surfaces are uneven with steps. Some surfaces may be unpaved. Special Event taking place at the Nature Center from 6:30-9PM called It's Lit! Fire in the Sky. There will be a DJ, Fire performances, and a night hike within the nature preserve.
