Musicians Wanted for All-Inclusive Multi-Genre Project UPDATE: Our bassist had to move! Our guitarist also plays bass so we're looking for one or the other. We are of the ages 24-30 and prefer someone near that age range. We rehearse Wednesdays at 6pm in Spokane Valley. ORIGINAL POST: Lead vocalist/keyboardist in search of a guitarist, drummer, and bassist to join an all-inclusive, multi-genre (rock, mostly) project. My goal is to start from scratch, collaborate on original songs written by myself and my new band members (if you are the song-writing type), and get famous, even if just locally for now. Cover songs will be an option to fill set lists if the main focus is our own songs and sound. Cover songs will also be necessary for the audition/do-we-work-well-together process. REQUIREMENTS: --Age: 21+ --LGBTQIA+ friendly --Local or willing to travel to Spokane Valley/Millwood area for rehearsal --COVID_19 vaccinated or masked at indoor rehearsals --Individuals who are willing to learn and teach --Transportation to/from rehearsals PREFERENCES: --At least one bandmate who can play their instrument and sing harmony simultaneously --Have your own equipment (I have some cheap guitars, 2 acoustic 1 electric, and a bass, plus one bass amp, but they are not a permanent solution for future gigs) --Someone with connections and knowledge in the music industry (recording studios, etc.) ABOUT ME: 29F. New to Spokane/Spokane Valley. I have a house with rehearsal space (indoor*, garage, shop, and outdoor options). I work Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm – that schedule will not be changing anytime soon. I have Ablet0n Live (Lite) software that allows me to record and mix songs. I cannot play drums, I can play 3 chords on the guitar, and my old band had me playing bass on a handful of songs, but I never learned proper technique. I am a singer, first and foremost, and a keyboardist second. I have a few original songs lined up that are waiting for your talent to bring them to life! You're probably curious about the types of music I like, but that question doesn't have a clear answer. Anything I can connect with and sing, I will. I like singing a lot of strong mezzo and soprano vocals (Sara Bareilles, Fall Out Boy, Maroon 5, Heart, Pat Benatar, Carrie Underwood, the list goes on and on). For this band and my originals I think it will be a mix of harder rock (not metal), alt/rock, pop/rock, pop/soul, folk/pop, and whatever else we come up with - but I am truly wide open to exploring our style and look forward to finding our sound as a group. *The indoor space is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
