Blank Canvas Awareness Art is hosting an Empowerment Camp for students with learning differences to experience fun activities & be inspired
We are excited to introduce our Empowerment Camp. We will be rotating activities in the amazingly decorated photo spaces at the Self-Love Museum. Kicking off the camp in the space dedicated to Kobe Bryant. You will learn how his hard work in school translated to the basketball court. Each space will leave your child feeling inspired.
We are inviting students 2nd- 5th grade that have a learning difference and/or anxiety.
We are also excited to offer our older students, 6th- 8th a special space to become a mentor and help lead some activities. The best way to feel empowered is to help others. For our older students we will have some prep time to help each student feel comfortable.
We are also excited to bring a Unity topic and discuss bullying and ways students can feel empowered to talk about friendship.
Our goal at Blank Canvas Awareness Art is to help support all children. If you have a child that may not fit into our category of learning difference but are still interested...please call Founding Executive Director, Donna Gargett 540-841-8518.
If you would like to sponsor another student that can't afford the cost. We appreciate you helping other families.
FREE interactive activity for adults and children to find a painted rock and build a poem. Rocks will be in the picnic area of the arboretum. We are helping to provide fun learning opportunities to the community and highlighting some warning signs of dyslexia. Did you know dyslexia affects 20% of the population. Also with the proper intervention you can improve reading skills.
