Description

A space for Black and Brown folks to be in company with one another and share experiences, insights, and support in their postpartum phase. Creating Villages is a community gathering for specifically and exclusively black and brown birthing folks to share and support each other through their prenatal or postnatal journies. Gatherings are led by Jacinta (Cin), a student midwife and birth worker. Located at Motherhood Collective LV, an in-home midwifery office in downtown Las Vegas--owned by three independent midwives who believe that community and collaboration are the foundations to being empowered parents. The Postnatal Gathering is for black and brown folks who are 2 weeks postpartum or more and seeking a space to exchange insights, experiences, and support with each other. Each gathering is opened with an invitation to center and breathe, followed by a moment for new attendees to introduce themselves, then the group decides what topics we will get into for the day. The group is not exclusive to Motherhood Collective LV clients. Space is limited, so please always RSVP. Children 4yo and under are welcomed. Masks are required. When: Every fourth Monday of the month. From 11:30-1 pm PST. Where: 610 S 8th Street Las Vegas, NV 89101 Suggested donation: $10, though donations are not required. All donations are split between the host and Motherhood Collective LV for refreshments, group materials, and children's activities. Have a question about the event?
