Butterflies are incredible subjects for photography and can provide some beautiful pictures.
This workshop, taught by professional photographer Jonathan Cline, will help you understand what goes into the getting those amazing shots. Understanding the exposure, composition and camera settings needed as well as some of the best spots in the conservatory to take the pictures. From close-up shots with macro lenses, to wider compositions with short and long range telephoto lenses, you’ll learn the benefits of each and when they should be used. Topics covered include basics of proper exposure (shutter speed, aperture and ISO), understanding depth-of-field and how to control it. Auto-focus methods and settings for still subjects and butterflies in flight.
Bring DSLR or Mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. Macro and/or telephoto lenses preferred, but not required. Cost is $55 for general public and $45 for members. Limit 10 in class. This event is held in Cafe first for light refreshments then guests will head to Theater to enjoy the movie.
