Seeking contract WELDER to weld frames on own property.

Severn MD
Description
We are a business that manufactures mobility devices, and we are looking to subcontractor with their own welding capability and separate workplace to weld the stainless steel frames that we use to assemble the final product. We would supply the sub-contractor with all of the metal parts required to do the welding. The frames are mostly just made out of angle steel (purchased in 21' sticks) and custom flat plates that we receive from another business that cuts them out for us. We would pass these custom flat plates on to you for completion of the frames. We would supply YOU (the contractor) with all of that metal required to get the job done, as well as drawings, and possibly even a sample of a completed frame such as the one pictured, so that you have something physical to use/measure/look at as an example. As an independent contractor, whether you own your own business, or would do this as 1099 work, you will need to have your own welder as well as your own welding gear/supplies, and most importantly the work must be done on YOUR property, whether that is a garage at your house, or a commercial building that you lease. We are located around the Glen Burnie region, so as long as you live within an hour drive of Glen Burnie, we shouldn't have a problem working with you. We are looking to get a quote from the contractor on a price per-frame basis. Before you complete the first frame using the materials supplied by us, at that time we would agree on a price. We are in the Glen Burnie Maryland region, so it would be easy for us to have close communication if you have any questions or need any assistance in terms of understanding the intention of our frame design. In the past when we have welded them ourselves, we have found that each frame takes about 6-8 hours to finish. We need about 25-30 of them done over a period of a few months, so this could even be done as a side gig if you already have full time work elsewhere. Timing is relatively flexible. For scaling reference, the attached photos of an example of an almost-complete frame shows the frame that you'd be building. The overall dimensions of the frame to the outside are 42"L x 14"W x 14"H. As stated prior, this is just angle and flat plates welded together. We would supply the metal, and the only thing you would need to cut and grind would be the angle pieces prior to welding. It would be up to you to create a jig that will assist you in making sure everything is square. If you are interested, please email or text the following information so that together we can talk about pricing and detailed arrangements to get the process in motion: Full name Email address City where the work would be performed, which could be your personal workshop General/brief summary of your welding experience Confirmation that you have your own welding equipment and a place to work
