Join the Tennessee Department of Education as they begin a conversation around school funding and gather community input. Join the Tennessee Department of Education at The National Civil Rights Museum in Hyde Hall on October 28th at 5:30 as they stop through Memphis in their series of town hall meetings across the state. We will be discussing the state funding formula and what it would look like to move to a student-focused funding formula. The Memphis Lift is a people's campaign to build widespread awareness of the criminal manner in which many Memphis school children are undeserved, and to build widespread demand for high quality schools and radical changes in public education to disrupt systematic educational inequity through choice and healthy competition.
