TML will host Dr. Penny Schwinn TN Commissioner of Education in a Fireside Chat w/Memphis Lift parents about schools & the role of TDOE Join us for a Memphis Lift Parent Community Meeting with Dr. Penny Schwinn, Tennessee Commissioner of Education, on Thursday, October 28th at 3:00 p.m. CT at the National Civil Rights Museum, Hooks Hyde Hall. Commissioner Schwinn will share about the start of the school year and the role of the Tennessee Department of Education and local school districts relating to remote learning followed by answering questions. Join us for this informal discussion with a fellow parent and champion of Tennessee student achievement. The Memphis Lift is a people's campaign to build widespread awareness of the criminal manner in which many Memphis school children are undeserved, and to build widespread demand for high quality schools and radical changes in public education to disrupt systematic educational inequity through choice and healthy competition.
