Our Asbestos Technicians are responsible for the performance of tasks associated with asbestos abatement, mold remediation, lead remediation, and demolition. This position is a great opportunity to work as part of a team and grow and advance from entry-level to supervisory or project management positions. JOB REQUIREMENTS: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Execution of fieldwork encompassed in remediation, asbestos abatement, lead & mold remediation, site demolition while under direct or indirect supervision. • Work in varying weather conditions and uneven terrain. • Load/unload equipment from and into vans, flatbeds, and trailers • Safely drive and perform safety checks on all vehicles for which licensed. • Understand and comply with company and client safety standards. • Learn to operate company equipment including a variety of construction/rental equipment. • Performs other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Position involves strenuous physical exertion. • Available for 24hr/day on-call basis. • Requires standing, lifting up to and including 50lbs. • Requires pulling/pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, crawling, stooping and crouching in confined spaces; requires walking, climbing, speaking, listening, and walking on uneven terrain or slippery conditions. • Requires the ability to properly wear and use personal respirator equipment and other forms of personal protective equipment (PPE) including levels A, B, C, & D including full encapsulation PPE suits which can elevate body temperature substantially during strenuous exertion. • Must be able to use hand tools, power tools and don a respirator. • Ability to wear a respirator required. Must be able to pass a respirator fit test. • Must be able to travel and work extended hours including evenings and weekends, working in often undesirable conditions, in inclement weather while being exposed to dust, fumes, dirt, heat, cold, noise, vibrations.
