I hate to do this. Summer is nine month old intact cream colored german shepherd with red and black undertones not the beautiful pure white her brother is but definately goregous in her own ways. Summer was brought home by my partner a Marine Veteran to be a service dog and was well on her way with the last six months of training. On October 8th her handler/owner had an extreme PTSD mental breakdown, was taken into care and will be unable to return home until next year at the earliest. I have discussed with him how difficult it is for me to care for three dogs (my service dog, my service dog in training, and his service dog) as well as caring for five kids under ten years old including infant twins alone and working two jobs fulltime. He and I both decided that it is best if Summer goes to a new home with the time and paitience where she can thrive. We do not want her to become a neurotic shepherd. Welcoming applications for the right home. Willing to wait. She deserves the best.
