MEDFORD, MA — The following letter was submitted by nine candidates for local office endorsed by Our Revolution Medford. Medford voters face a choice about our future in the upcoming election on November 2nd. We've spoken to thousands of Medford residents about their vision for Medford's future and for our city government. That's why we all support policies to make sure that our city thrives and that we build a community that welcomes and includes everyone who calls Medford home. Our city benefits from being part of a productive and vibrant region, but Boston's rapid growth and development present significant challenges. We must stand up for a shared vision for our community's future, not the interests of the highest bidder or biggest property developer. We are committed to ensuring that all voices in our community are heard and that Medford's city government fights against systemic racism, supports our seniors, provides access to people with disabilities, and makes sure working families can afford to stay here in Medford. We are proud to be endorsed by Our Revolution Medford and to be working alongside thousands of residents to advance a shared policy vision to build the community we deserve. We are local candidates. We are your neighbors and friends. We don't receive funding or direction from "national" organizations, and our platform is created by and for the people of Medford. If you elect us on November 2nd, we will bring people together to fully fund our City Budget, promote climate resiliency, ensure streets and sidewalks are safe for walking and biking, provide true community safety for all residents, invest in Medford Public Schools, create an equitable and welcoming city government, support residents' basic needs around food security and economic justice, and fight the housing crisis by improving housing access and stability for people of all incomes. We need your help to make it happen. We have accomplished so much together already, and we can do even more if we take action on the great opportunities that lie ahead for Medford. On Tuesday, November 2nd, we ask you to please vote for Councilor Zac Bears, Kit Collins, Abigail Dickson, Councilor Nicole Morell, and Justin Tseng for Medford City Council and vote for School Committee Member Jenny Graham, Sharon Hays, School Committee Member Mea Mustone, and School Committee Member Paul Ruseau for Medford School Committee. Sincerely, Zac Bears, Kit Collins, Abigail Dickson, Jenny Graham, Sharon Hays, Nicole Morell, Mea Mustone, Paul Ruseau, and Justin Tseng
