In this 4-hour class, you will learn basic blacksmithing methods and use these techniques to create one-of-a-kind steel jewelry. Each student will have the opportunity to forge more than one heart. Different approaches to making hearts will be considered.
Prerequisites: None
Age limit: 13+ (Minors must have an adult, also enrolled, attend with them)
Students must wear work boots or shoes made from leather or canvas (no nylon, it melts!). Wear natural fiber clothing (cotton is best). Safety glasses are required and will be provided, but if you have a pair that you’re comfortable in, consider bringing your own.
