MILWAUKEE, WI — Major Harris, 3, was killed around the same time as his mother, Mallery Muenzenberger, Milwaukee County Medical Examiner Brian Peterson said Monday. Milwaukee police found Harris' body near North 35th Street and West Rohr Avenue on Thursday. The medical examiner's office ruled his death a homicide, and the cause was a gunshot to the head, the office said. Muenzenberger's death was also ruled a homicide, Peterson's office said. Muenzenberger's body was found near North 37th Street and West Clarke Street on Oct. 14. The man suspected in Muenzenberger's homicide, Jaheem Clark, was found dead as police searched a house near North 41st Street on Sunday. After an autopsy, Clark's death was ruled a suicide, the medical examiner's office said. Police searched the Sherman Park neighborhood Thursday after getting a tip from two men they arrested. The two men haven't been charged with any crimes and are only connected to Muenzenberger's death, Police Sgt. Efrain Cornejo told reporters earlier that day. Carlton Harris Jr., Harris' father, told WISN-12 that he intended to bury the boy's body in Madison. Muenzenberger's family issued a statement Thursday saying they were heartbroken to say a final goodbye to her and that they intended to take Harris with them to La Crosse if he was found alive.
