SUMMARY OF THE POSITION: As a maintenance technician you will work with a team to maintain and prepare apartments for occupancy, maintain common areas, and assist the on-site manager and other staff members in meeting the properties goals. You will also work with off-site staff and must be able to work at other sites in the area. Teamwork and good communication are essential qualities for a maintenance technician. RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintaining and preparing apartments according to the prepared schedule • Maintaining common areas according to the schedule • Monitoring the readiness of apartments and common areas; • Reporting observed maintenance needs to the manager or supervisor; • Ordering maintenance materials and supplies; • Representing the community and staff members positively; • Participating in staff meetings; • Availability for emergency services. Qualified applicants should have experience with preparing units for rent, and with residential or commercial building-maintenance standards and procedures. 1-year Construction and Property Maintenance Experience Preferred.
